Parisians and tourists will gather on Trocadéro to experience the event in a different way and celebrate the medal-winning athletes in the heart of the city.
Long jump qualifications and victory ceremonies
Passion for athletics will spread into the city of Paris. On Wednesday 26 August (from 15:00), men long jump qualifications will be in the centre of the stage of the Athletics Park, right in front of the eiffel Tower. An iconic setting where will be held the women long jump qualifications two days later (full competition schedule here). Every day starting from Thursday 27 August, athletes will be celebrated by the public under the eyes of the Iron Lady. A unique opportunity for them to receive their medal and share their emotions with an expected crow of 300,000 visitors over the week of competition.

Free of access, this fan zone will allow everyone to have fun, eat, enjoy the competition and watch it broadcasted on a giant screen and to fully experience the Paris 2020 European Championships. Activities (including workshops promoting athletics and sports, cutural and musical animations) will appeal to both sports and festive events enthusiasts, adults and children alike.
